ifilm English to start airing ‘Special Guests’

Iranian series ‘Special Guests’ has been scheduled to go on ifilm English Channel’s playlist.

Airing of the series, coproduced by Ali-Akbar Jenaghi as well as Saeed Ardakani and directed by Seyyed-Javad Razavian, will start on March 26, 2020.

In ‘Special Guests’, Majid is living in Tehran, working at the university and is getting married to the love of his life. Everything seems perfect, until his family comes for a visit to meet his future in-laws.

The culture clash between his simple family and his sophisticated in-laws leads to some hilarious hijinks, but it also threatens to ruin Majid’s plans of getting married.

Among the cast list are Bita Saharkhiz, Reza Babak, Pourandokht Mohaymen, Alireza Khamseh, the late Daryoush Asadzadeh, Faqiheh Soltani, Asha Mehrabi, Iman Safa, Afshin Sangchap, Amir-Hossein Seddiq, and Nasrollah Radesh.

‘Special Guests’, produced in 2011 is to replace the series ‘On the Verge of Happiness’, to be broadcast at 21:00 GMT.

ifilm English will also repeat each episode of the series the following day at 02:00, 06:00 and 13:00 (all GMT times). ‘Special Guests’ is comprised of 13 segments.
